Hi Julie,
Good suggestions. Whenever we post an action alert on our "Take Action" page we usually do list talking points and the names of legislators as a way to help grassroots advocates like yourself take the step of calling Congressional offices. In this case, we just wanted to give people an update about where the farm to school legislation is at given Secretary Vilsack's announcement this week. Stay tuned for a Take Action alert!

It might be helpful for new policies like these that you want to see people back to ask them to contact their members of congress about supporting them and then have a link to click that would give talking points and the names of their senators and representatives so people could e-mail support (or call, with the phone number to the capital and directions) for policies such as these.

Very good news -- until we start to compare the $10 million/year in the bills with the BILLIONS per year that we pay to subsidize high fructose corn syrup. We still have a very long way to go!
