Liana Hoodes Moves Forward With NCSA Partners
Liana Hoodes is leaving the National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture but will continue work with our partners!
Liana Hoodes, the NCSA’s long time Organic Coordinator will be leaving the NCSA effective Dec. 31. She will be consulting for Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI) and National Organic Coalition (NOC), (partners of the NCSA) focusing on a National Organic Action Plan (NOAP) and intensive legislative work. The body of work in the NCSA’s organic committee has evolved to a different level of sophistication and maturity over its many years requiring this very specific focus. RAFI and NOC’s missions are particularly aligned with these foci.
The mission of the Campaign has long been to offer a “big tent” in order to build the capacity of many to engage and effect grassroots informed policy. Organics is and will continue to be a cornerstone issue of the Campaign. The NCSA will provide the support needed to carry on our issue committee work in organics, support the grassroots involvement in the NOAP, and continue its commitment to the issue. We are excited that we have played this important and pivotal role of developing such an established and focused platform for this next level of work that Liana and our partners will lead.
We are of course saddened to see her go but are excited about her new opportunities (and the movements) and are confidant and committed, as is she, to work together for the long term benefit of sustainable agriculture.
