Partners in the National Campaign
Hundreds of diverse groups and individuals make up the National Campaign's network. Constituencies represented include family farms, rural and urban communities, environmental and wildlife advocates, faith-based institutions, minority farmers, farmworker and social justice groups, community food security activists, and advocates for the humane treatment of animals. A summary of Partner Organizations Expectations and Benefits is available here
The National Campaign has worked to define more clearly the criteria, rights and responsibilities of Partner Organizations, as part of a process to make our work and decision-making process even more participatory, transparent, and accountable. In the past, our process for identifying Partner Organizations was more fluid. Now we ask partners to read our partner agreement and fill out an application that is reviewed and approved by our Board of Directors.
Individuals and organizations that want to offer the support we need to advance our mission, but who do not wish to be active partners, can support the National Campaign by becoming a contributing partner, through making a donation. We deeply appreciate your contribution — at any level — to help with our important work.
The National Campaign has always had special working relations with the regional Sustainable Agriculture Working Groups (SAWGs) in five regions — the Midwest, South, Northeast, West, and California as well as with the Sustainable Agriculture Coalition in Washington, DC. These working relationships are summarized in "How We Work Together", a statement jointly crafted in May and June, 2003.
Below is a list of active partner organizations under the National Campaign's Partner Organization application process. Partners with dues current as of Feb 2008 are noted in bold text.
