More FY 2010 Conservation Program Sign-up Data

March 24, 2011

The Resource Economics Analysis and Policy (REAP) Division of USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) recently released draft final sign-up data for most USDA conservation programs for fiscal year (FY) 2010.

We previously blogged the final FY 2010 sign-up numbers, including state-level data, for the Conservation Stewardship Program, Wetlands Reserve Program, Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program, and Grasslands Reserve Program.

In the tables below, we summarize the number of acres, active and completed contracts, and obligated dollars for each program.  We also summarize state-level data for selected programs.

The data for each program are inclusive of all sub-programs.  For example, a portion of the Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI) sign up data is included in the numbers for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).  Likewise, data for the Agricultural Water Enhancement Program (AWEP), which is implemented through EQIP, are included in the EQIP numbers.

A key is included at the bottom of this post.
